The Tourist

Summer on the Isle of Wight is a lovely place to be. It’s one of the sunniest places in the UK and isn’t short of the odd beach or two. As a local, the huge influx of tourists can be a bit of an annoyance, especially down the usually quiet country lanes. Although if not for the tourist industry the Islands economy would be even worse than it already is. The old saying “If you can’t beat them, join them” has rung true on more than one occasion over the summer, and actually visiting the islands many tourist spots rather than avoiding them, was actually quite fun.

The below are a small selection of the many photos and “holiday-snapshots” that I took over the last month.

This weekend also sees Wolverton Manor Garden Fair in Shorwell, I’ve decided to dip my toe in the water, and will have a stall with some of my photography for sale. Do pop along and say hi.
